Dusty Demos
Greetings! And warm salutations to you all! It is my distinct pleasure to reach out to you and wish you happy holidays and, in advance, a happy new year.
2025 has been, in my mind, a long time comin’.
I hope you're ready to embrace the coming year with a smile and great expectations.
While looking forward is certainly appropriate, many of you may find the new year to be an opportunity to look back and count your blessings and build gratitude for the wonders of life that you have experienced over the years.
For me, in my situation, I've been spending a lot of time looking in the rearview mirror and trying to dig up memories of my life's adventures and experiences, both good and challenging. Over the years, I've discovered that this practice of taking the time to be thoughtful about the past has been a great way to evaluate and make plans and commitments for the future. With this in mind, I'd like to offer you a unusual, raw, and perhaps unconventional look into a musical adventure, through the earliest days of my journey towards becoming a songwriter and musician. There's much more to come, but first, it is my unique, and perhaps awkward pleasure, to announce the upcoming release of four of my "Dusty demos.”
On the first day of every month, for the next four months and possibly longer, I will release a new or actually “old”, previously unreleased original song!
Got your attention? Hold on, I'm not through yet. There is something very unique about these songs. As you might have gathered, from the title, "Dusty demos”, these songs have been laying around for a while. In fact, these four songs are demos that I recorded, way, way back in the early 1980s! I was a teenager!
These are some of the first songs I wrote and recorded. I'm sure you'll be able to tell by the sound of my voice, compared to now.
I hope you take the time to listen and enjoy these "Dusty demos”.
Please take a look at the notes about Dusty Demos for more in-depth information about what I was doing at the time, who I was making music with, and beyond. I'd love to hear your thoughts and reactions. Please don't hesitate to reach out via Instagram at "Eric T Brandt ", or on my website, at erictbrandt.com, where you can also join my mailing list and stay in the loop about what's going on and what's coming next!
That's all for now, all the best to you and yours for a happy new year and good things ahead.
